GRETCHEN + TONY’S TIMELESS FALL WEDDING

Gretchen and Tony's Wedding

During the fall of 2020, Gretchen and Tony had a timeless fall wedding filled with loads of greenery, gold accents, and sweet family traditions.

Gretchen, originally from Kentucky, and her groom Tony, from Ohio, met through mutual friends at a Chris Young concert here in Nashville. They bonded over their shared love of music and soon became inseparable.

In 2019, after a Russell Dickerson CMA Fest performance, Tony surprised Gretchen with a proposal on the Pedestrian Bridge as her friends watched from afar. But that wasn’t the only surprise! Tony had a pink limo drive them around Music City to celebrate as they made their way to a surprise engagement party.

The Bell Tower first caught Gretchen’s attention in a wedding video that was shared on our social media accounts, so she booked a tour.

“The moment we walked in, I knew. This was it. It was elegant, romantic, classic, and just felt right. I also loved the fact that it was historically a church prior to becoming an event space,” she told us.

On the date of their big day, October 24, the Infinity team dressed the venue in string lights, pillar candles, and oh so much greenery.

Gretchen stunned in a lace trumpet gown and rocked her late grandmother’s earrings. Her bridal bouquet featured a loose romantic bundle of white hydrangeas and anemones.

Tony and his groomsmen looked sharp in matching classic tuxedos and white rose boutonnieres.

To start the day, the bride and groom shared a sweet first look in their ceremony space and exchanged letters and gifts. Gretchen told us that she felt like she was on cloud nine the whole day, but that moment where she was able to wrap her arms around Tony for the first time will forever be a cherished memory.

During the ceremony, Gretchen made sure the DJ played “I Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley in honor of her beloved grandma. She walked down the aisle lined with white pillar candles and eucalyptus, and once the couple exchanged vows and a kiss, guests went out to the patio for a relaxed cocktail hour.

The team then quickly transformed the main space for the reception with ivory linens, mahogany chairs, greenery runners, and plated spinach and strawberry salads at each place setting.

When the plated dinner service began, guests were treated to dishes like herbed chicken with Southern-style green beans, sweet potato gratin, and four cheese macaroni. Delish!

Gretchen and Tony shared their first dance to “Yours” By Russell Dickerson, a nod to their engagement night, and then DJ Dan Buckley got everyone to join them on the dance floor to celebrate.

As the party was winding down and guests made their way outside to prepare for the newlyweds' sparkler exit, Gretchen and Tony enjoyed a moment alone in the venue and shared a dance to Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me.” After all, they wanted to enjoy every moment of their wedding and take time to soak it all in!
