How to Have a Daisy Jones-Inspired Wedding

Dairy Jones and the Six

LOOK AT US NOW

If Daisy Jones & Billy Dunne Said "I Do"

Warning: Some minor spoilers may be ahead!

From the fashion to the music, and everything in between, we’re feeling inspired by Amazon’s miniseries Daisy Jones & The Six— and we’re not the only ones! We’re sharing our take on the retro era and making it come to life in 2023 style.

So picture this... The band is back together, and we have exclusive rights to plan Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne’s wedding. We will be sharing our thoughts on her bridal style, wedding venue, reception decor, personalized details, and more.

Keep scrolling to see inspiration from real weddings and ideas on how you can have a Daisy Jones-inspired wedding, too.

SHE WAS DRESSED IN...

Inspired by true icons like Stevie Nicks and Cher, Daisy Jones’ style is Bohemian, feminine, and very rock n’ roll, so of course her wedding weekend style wouldn’t be any different.

For the rehearsal dinner, she rocked a sheer cape with beaded stars and silver detailing over a sleek silk dress. On the morning of her big day, she got ready in a comfortable silk robe with scalloped sleeves, simple embroidery, and, of course, fringe detailing.

She later changed into a fitted gown with large lace detailing and dramatic bell sleeves for her intimate ceremony, and she held a beautiful organic bouquet of moody greenery and rust-colored florals. For the reception, she swapped her heels for a fun boot and a fringe leather jacket.

IT WAS LOCATED AT...

We can’t think of a better spot for Daisy and Billy to tie the knot than the Estate at Cherokee Dock. With towering trees, sprawling lawns, and lakeside views, the estate is a gated paparazzi-free oasis. Their wedding weekend would begin with an intimate rehearsal dinner in the stables the night before, followed by a ceremony on the Lakeside Lawn the next day, and a reception on the Sunset Terrace.

IT WAS DECORATED WITH...

A classic 70s color palette of mustard, rust, gold, and Persian red was weaved throughout the decor, from the retro lounge furniture to the florals. The ceremony was set with mix-and-match vintage seating and a statement floral arch on the Lakeside Lawn of the Estate at Cherokee Dock. Statement pampas grass lined the aisle with layered boho rugs leading to the altar.

As for the reception, a mix of classic round and farm tables filled the space with wood crossback chairs. The place settings included rust-colored napkins and lots of candles at the center of each table to enhance the intimate environment with whimsical wildflowers and greenery to compliment Daisy’s bouquet.

On the patio sat lounge areas for guests with more vintage velvet seating, rattan chairs, and gold accent tables.

WITH PERSONALIZED DETAILS LIKE...

Inspired by Daisy Jones & the Six's tour, the invitation suite was a concert ticket with a classic Hatch Show Print-style save-the-date and a response card with a place for guests to request a song for the reception. The seating chart was created with old records, and the guest book was a gifted guitar from Teddy Price.

Daisy’s wedding party–consisting of Karen Sirko, Simone Jackson, Billy’s daughter Julia, and her own daughter as the flower girl— wore mix-and-match orange and neutral dresses that expressed their personal styles.

Out of respect for Billy Dunne’s sobriety, delicious mocktails were included with their open bar. And in homage to Camila, some of her favorite photos during her time with the band decorated the remembrance table. A camera was available for guests to take their own Polaroids, too.

NOT TO MENTION THE LIGHTING...

The reception space had an earthy environment with hanging greenery and disco balls above the tables. For dancing, the room was set with a fun color wash to enhance the celebratory ambiance. A neon sign reading "look at us now" was hung on the arch used in the ceremony and served as a photo booth backdrop for the reception.

On the outdoor patio sat marquee letters saying "You & Me," which may or may not be a foreshadowing of their next single (crossing our fingers).

AND THE WEDDING EXIT...

In Daisy Jones fashion, she encouraged her wedding party to jump into the pool, dress and all, at the estate instead of doing a traditional send-off.
