How to Have a Folklore-Inspired Wedding

Planning a wedding inspired by one of Taylor Swift’s eras is a unique and fun way to celebrate your love for her music and style. Ethereal and whimsical, Taylor’s Folklore and Evermore era is characterized by earth tones, cottagecore style, and woodland fairy vibes. Drawing inspiration from the dreamy woodland aesthetic, poetic storytelling, and stripped-down melodies of Folklore, you can create an unforgettable wedding that exudes intimacy and romance. For all the Folklore stans, here’s our take on how to have a Folklore-inspired wedding.

Having a wedding inspired by one of Taylor Swift’s eras can be a unique and fun way to celebrate your love for her music and style. In honor of her Eras Tour, we’re highlighting some of our favorites and how to incorporate them into your wedding day.

Dreamy, romantic, and fun, Taylor’s Lover era is characterized by vibrant colors and sparkle. For all the Lover stans, here’s our take on how to have a Lover-inspired wedding.

1. STYLE

Each era has its own unique color palette. The Lover era is so distinctive, we say ditch the traditional white and embrace color for your wedding weekend style. Here are some of our top picks.

Infinity Pro Tip: Discuss the shot list with your photographer and make sure they know you want every outfit change captured. Assign a wedding party member or a friend to ensure you get every shot you want. They’ll bring you your heart-shaped sunglasses, make sure you have your silly straw while getting ready, and ensure you and your photographer step out during the reception for a mini-session in your reception dress.

2. DECOR

The “Lover” era is all about romance, color, and whimsy. Incorporate these elements into your wedding decor with fairy lights and flowers to create a magical and enchanting atmosphere. Your playlist isn’t the only way to incorporate some of your favorite Lover lyrics. Lyrics can be incorporated throughout the reception. Our couple Sarah + Patrick incorporated them with a neon sign hanging on their photo booth backdrop while Anna Lee + Justin included lyrics at each table.
