WOW YOUR GUESTS

WITH OUR FAVORITE UNIQUE VENDOR IDEAS

This month we’re majorly crushing on one of the latest trends, unique wedding vendors! With big events coming back better than before, many couples want to give their guests a special experience for their attendance outside of the traditional wedding ceremony and reception.

We listed below a few of our favorite unique vendors from our real weddings, like a professional aerialist and a party donkey, but the list doesn’t stop there. We have fallen in love with the inclusion of palm readings, life size game boards, flower stations, caricaturist, mobile bars… you name it!

Scroll on to see 10 of our unique vendor ideas, and stay tuned for what we’re crushing on next.

1. Poker Tables

Are either of you a big fan of poker nights? Include that in your wedding celebration!

The best way to make your wedding day unique is adding personalized details about who you are as a couple and the things you would enjoy with your friends and family. No one said you had to dance the night away if you’d rather beat your best man with a royal flush.

2. Interactive Games

If you answer yes to “Does everything have to be a competition?” then it only makes sense to include interactive games on your wedding day!

Stephanie and Drew brought arcade games into their reception for that extra fun touch. And if you really want to keep the adrenaline going, then throw in a ping pong table or life size Jenga. We promise your guests will remember these details!

3. Professional Aerialist

Talk about show stopping! Take your wedding experience above and beyond with a professional aerialist, if your venue will allow it.

An amazing visual experience, aerialists make an incredibly fun surprise for your guests and will set the tone for your reception. From champagne aerialists that serve bubbly from the air, to hoop performers and contortionists, there are quite a few different types of aerial dancers to choose from.

4. Live Painter

This unique vendor is more than just unique; it’s personable and ever-lasting, too! Capture your ceremony kiss or first dance with a painting to have for your home or wherever you please.

Including a live painter will not only entertain guests, because who doesn’t love to watch a work of art, but it will also hold a special place in your memories.

5. Animal Entertainment

If you’re not an animal lover then you can keep scrolling, but if you’re like us, this would be the cherry on top of your special day!

Black Burro Events is an upscale drink-toting donkey who is ready to entertain at almost any event, and we’re here for it. Check out this party animal at Lizzy and Stefan’s cocktail hour on The Bridge Building’s riverfront.

6. Stilts Performer

Stilts performers are like walking art! So what better way to dress up your wedding day than this out-of-the-box entertainment that will be sure to get the party going.

7. Cultural Dancers

Never miss a chance to celebrate your culture on your wedding day! Sekai and Quincy had the Sankofa African Drum and Dance Company perform at their reception while their guests enjoyed their dinner. Dinner and a show!

8. Interactive Sweet Treats

We will never tire of a build-your-own sundae bar or custom cookies, but Kelsie and James took it an extra step further with a gourmet cotton candy cart for their wedding day!

Other fun ideas include a fire pit for s’mores, an ice cream truck for that touch of nostalgia, or a chocolate fountain surrounded by fresh fruit.

9. Custom Experiences

Make it custom! Let your guests design their own party favor or special treat like this Rustler Hat Co experience from one of our corporate events.

The possibilities are endless with interactive stations at your reception. Some of our favorites include a florist to make custom flower crowns or bouquets, a magician to liven up the night with tricks, a caricature artist, a temporary tattoo table, and even a poet to write custom poems for your guests!

10. Line Dancing Lessons

Last but not least, if you really want your guests up and moving for your wedding reception, consider hiring a professional dancer to teach them some moves!

It was only fitting to include line dancing into our list of unique vendors for Nashville events, but don’t let your wedding location get in the way of a good choreographed grapevine.

5 WEDDING PLANNING TIPS & WHEN TO BOOK YOUR VENDORS https://infinityhospitalitygroup.com/5-wedding-planning-tips/ Fri, 26 May 2017 17:14:49 +0000 http://blog.infinityeventsandcatering.com/?p=1131 Wedding Wire's handy Vendor Booking Timeline & five wedding planning tips to streamline your process.

You just said yes, but what comes next? Wedding planning and decision making is exciting but can often be overwhelming, to say the least.

Today we're sharing WeddingWire's handy Vendor Booking Timeline to help give all you bride-to-be's a better idea of what comes first. Plus we're rounding up a few tips of our own, too!

Scroll on for the skinny.

1. Don't stress over having all the details figured out prior to locking in your vendors.

It's important to book vendors that you trust, have a connection with, and that reflect the style you're looking for.

Many design details such as what flowers are going to go in your bouquet or what sides you should offer with blackberry chicken can be figured out later.

Explore the market for what you're looking for in each vendor and get the vendor that you love the most locked in first. Then let the vendor help you figure out the details.

2. Make you sure you read all contracts in full & with thorough detail.

Ask questions if something isn't clear to you. It could be helpful to have someone else read the contract as well.

Make a note of when deadlines and payments are due and put them in your own calendar. Set reminders for a week in advance to give yourself time to prepare for the deadline.

3. Be flexible.

When in doubt, sooner is always better — but there is a natural progression to the process.

Yes, you need to get a florist booked, but it's hard to book a florist if you haven't finalized a floor plan, decided on a general guest count, or if you don't know the exact number of people in your bridal party yet.

4. Get to know your venue.

When booking a venue, ideally you'll be able to work on the layout and design right away for the entire day.

Based on the rules and inclusivity of the venue you choose, there are many decisions to be made in the first few months that will all lead to the next.

For example, having a buffet vs. a plated dinner will drastically change the way your floor plan can be arranged. This affects the number of flower arrangements and linens needed and more.

If you are having trouble finding a venue, check out some of WeddingWire's wedding venue locations — including ours!

5. Look ahead at your personal calendar.

Maybe you're still in school, and the idea of getting everything done in the next 6 weeks is just too much. Or maybe you're going to be out of town all summer at other weddings so you won't be available for tastings and fittings.

Regardless, be prepared by looking ahead and seeing where these tasks will comfortably fit into your lifestyle without leaving you stressed that you're running out of time. Plan ahead accordingly.

Have any tips of your own to share? Leave a comment and let us know!
