We're wishing Tali and Josh a happy five-year anniversary! Their elegant and easygoing celebration at The Bell Tower was what spring wedding dreams are made of.

As they were planning their wedding, they knew they wanted a unique spring look with an emphasis on fun.

On the big day, Tali looked stunning in her sweetheart neckline dress with a floral lace pattern, and she wore her sister-in-law Rachel’s veil as a sweet way to incorporate family traditions. The structured bridal bouquet featured ivory peonies, blush pink roses, and a few lilac accents.

Josh kept it classic in his blue tux with monogrammed sleeves and gold fox cufflinks that showed off his fun personality and sense of style.

The bride and groom enjoyed a quiet first look at Vanderbilt before heading to the wedding venue to sign their beautifully personalized ketubah—a Jewish marriage contract.

As the ceremony began, they walked down an aisle lined with lanterns and ivory rose petals in a criss-cross pattern to stand together under a romantic chuppah featuring a soft, organic structure made up of small trees, delicate white blooms, and gold drapery from Nashville Audio Visual. It was a showstopper!

After the ceremony, guests made their way to the side patio and mezzanine to enjoy a cocktail hour with passed hors d'oeuvres while Infinity staff transformed the main space for the reception.

As the newlyweds were announced, they headed straight to the dance floor to share their first dance to Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud." Then it was time for emotional father-daughter and mother-son dances before the big cake cutting and blessings before the meal.

Long wooden tables for the wedding parties were filled with gorgeous floral arrangements—both tall glass arrangements and smaller clusters of roses and lilies in square glass containers—green pillar candles, and silver and gold satin napkins.

After dinner, it was time for the joyful hora, which kicked off a night of dancing. The couple refueled their guests with a late-night grilled cheese station to keep the party going, and the celebration ended with a flower petal send-off.

Congratulations to these two on their five years of wedded bliss! Keep scrolling for some elegant spring wedding inspiration filled with ivory, gold, and silver details.

Georgia couple Erica and Bert tied the knot at The Bell Tower with a classic and modern wedding ceremony and reception.

Their story began while attending college together at Georgia Southern; they were inseparable after meeting at a student bar! Five years later, Bert proposed in the new home they bought together.

When planning their big day, the couple wanted to make sure their reception was the party of the century, so they went with a destination wedding in Nashville. Since the majority of their guests were coming from out of town, Erica and Bert wanted to make sure they got a truly Nashville experience, and The Bell Tower was the perfect venue for it.

For their decor, the pair kept things streamlined with a color palette of white, black, and green. They took advantage of the historic space’s beams and tall ceilings with delicate string lights and a lovely custom monogram designed by White Ink Calligraphy. It featured pecan branches as a nod to Bert’s work as a pecan farmer.

The nearly newlyweds exchanged vows during a chic ceremony decorated with white florals and petals, white pillar candles, and dramatic white draping that highlighted the room's dramatic windows. The guests then enjoyed a cocktail hour with beer and wine on the covered patio, which was staged with lounge furniture, while the newlyweds snuck off to enjoy the post-ceremony glow over a private meal.

Erica and Bert took advantage of both the main space and The Bell Tower's mezzanine for the reception, as each was filled with round mahogany bistro tables decorated with crisp white tablecloths, black accents, and plenty of greenery.

A wooden farm-style sweetheart table anchored the reception with an elegant white chiffon table runner, eucalyptus and other delicate greenery, tea light candles, and white taper candles.

After dinner, special guests led a champagne toast and speeches before the first dance kicked off.

Later in the evening, the newlyweds cut a classic white cake adorned with a waterfall arrangement of white orchids. And although their beloved dog couldn’t be in attendance, the furry friend did make an appearance as a part of the groom's cake topper and as an illustration on their cocktail napkins!

At the end of the night, the newlyweds made their way out of the party in a fun glow stick send-off.

BEFORE THEY WED

PLANNING THE PERFECT REHEARSAL DINNER

You've spent months planning the big day, but don't overlook the details of the days leading up to it. Set the tone of your wedding weekend with a stylish rehearsal dinner and welcome reception.

Held the night before the wedding, this is the perfect opportunity for family and friends to gather in a not-so-hectic setting. It's typically a more relaxed evening full of excitement and anticipation.

Traditionally planned by the groom's family, it's becoming more common for either both sets of parents to share the responsibility or for couples to step in themselves.

Follow our five tips when planning the perfect rehearsal dinner!

1. Pick a unique venue.

Don't feel obligated to go the restaurant route. Especially if you're going traditional with your wedding the following day, the rehearsal dinner is a great opportunity to get creative. We love to impress out-of-town guests and ensure they have a true Nashville experience. Picking a venue that showcases the city and its unique history is a great way to introduce your guests to Nashville.

Betsy + David spoiled their guests at their elegant rehearsal dinner with an unparalleled view of Music City at The Bridge Building.

2. Keep it casual.

You don't want your rehearsal dinner to outshine the wedding. Incorporate your style, but keep it casual. From the attire to the speeches, a more casual rehearsal dinner will encourage mixing and mingling and ensure everyone is comfortable, especially those who may be meeting for the first time.

3. Choose a fun theme.

Whether it's inspired by a location, a color palette or one or your passions, incorporating a theme is a fun way to kick off the wedding weekend.

This sweet couple moved to Italy after their nuptials, so they began their wedding weekend with an Italian-inspired rehearsal dinner at The Quarter. Printed linens, Italian sodas, and fun centerpieces brought this theme to life.

4. Think about the food.

Let the food shine! It can either complement your wedding day menu or it can be completely different, so get creative with it! If you're opting for a formal plated dinner on the wedding day, give your guests a taste of Nashville for the rehearsal with a fun build-your-own BBQ station.

Lindsay + Brian's Southern-inspired menu included baby back ribs and buttermilk fried chicken, plus hot chicken sliders as a late night bite.

5. Plan some icebreaker activities.

The rehearsal dinner is a great time to introduce close family and friends to each other who may not have met yet. Whether it's board games, casino games, or cornhole, there's nothing like a game night to keep spirits high and ensure everyone feels part of the group.

Currently Crushing: Sustainability https://infinityhospitalitygroup.com/currently-crushing-sustainability/ Mon, 09 Mar 2020 02:00:20 +0000 https://infinityhospitalitygroup.com/?p=24900 Our top five ways to have a more sustainable wedding with inspiration from real weddings.

GO GREEN

HOW TO HAVE A MORE SUSTAINABLE WEDDING

Sustainability is a huge trend this year and hopefully for many years to come. Couples are looking at what impact they're making on the environment and taking steps to reduce their wedding footprint.

Feeling overwhelmed on where to start? Every effort, no matter how small, makes an impact, so it's important to focus on what's most meaningful to you as a couple. That's why we've rounded up a few of our favorite ideas on how to have a more sustainable wedding.

Stay tuned every month for what wedding trends we're currently crushing, and scroll on for Pinterest-worthy sustainable inspiration from our real weddings!

1. Say Buh-Bye to Paper

Perhaps the easiest way to have a more sustainable wedding is to opt out of paper goods and come up with unique alternatives for table numbers, ceremony programs, escort cards, and more.

While we still support sending a beautiful invitation suite via snail mail, consider using recyclable or plantable paper and reducing the number of inserts in your suite.

Rachel + Kevin and Tammy + Jeff both opted for reusable table numbers, while Leslie + Kyle chose a calligraphed mirror in lieu of individual menus at each place setting.

2. Find Like-Minded Vendors

It's important to work with vendors who also take strides to reduce waste. Look for florists who use locally-grown flowers and don't use foam blocks. You could even consider using potted arrangements that can be replanted instead of cut flowers.

Work with caterers who source their food locally and organically, as well as those who have a plan for the leftovers. If combatting the agricultural industry is your biggest priority, you'll want to find a caterer that is both vegan and vegetarian friendly.

3. Make a Charitable Donation

Instead of personalized party favors like plastic cups or koozies, opt to make charitable donations in honor of your guests. Margot + Josh donated to a cause near and dear to their hearts, the Herren Project, while Jonna + Brian donated to St. Jude.

4. Reuse Your Decor

Reusing your decor is not only more sustainable, but it also cuts costs. Floral arrangements can be reused throughout the day from the altar to the reception, candles can make their way from the ceremony aisle to the centerpieces, and an arch can frame the ceremony and the sweetheart table.

Another great way to extend the life of your florals is by donating them to a hospital or retirement home after your event is over!

5. Eliminate Plasticware

Renting your china, silverware, and glassware is not only the more sustainable choice, but it will contribute to your overall look, too. We're also talking about the bar here. Plastic cups and straws need to go.

If you're set on disposables, opt for compostables instead.

5. Marquee Signs

Retro signage is popping up everywhere.

Seen in home decor, weddings and other events, marquee signs are not only a great way to light up your space, but they come in super handy for stylishly labeling certain areas or activities too.

6. Projection Mapping

Undeniably bold and unique, projection mapping makes use of the latest innovative technology to transform any space into, well, just about anything.

How does it work, you ask? High-resolution imagery or video is seamlessly projected onto the walls and sometimes even the ceiling to transport guests to another season, city, or planet, without ever leaving the room.

Need a visual? Peep Lauren + Stephen's fall reception below where they projected golden Aspen trees onto the walls to bring their favorite season inside.

Planned by our then event specialist now office controller extraordinaire, Sue Harrigan, Jessie and Mo's fall wedding was modern and elegant. Contemporary decor paired with a white and silver color palette complemented The Bridge Building's modern, industrial architecture.

Beginning the afternoon in the his & hers lounges, the couple enjoyed mimosas and ice-cold beer while getting ready. They also snacked on our pimento cheese and cranberry walnut chicken salad sandwiches with assorted chips and dips, ensuring full, happy bellies before the evening's festivities began.

Once guests arrived, they were treated to our famous candied bacon as well as hot chicken sliders and fried oysters. Soon after, they headed upstairs for the rooftop ceremony. Perfectly timed, guests watched the sun set over Nashville as Jessie and Mo said "I do." Plus, the sweetest flower girl helped kick things off, Jessie's grandmother!

Dinner was served family-style, which was a fun alternative to the typical plated dinner or buffet. Guests munched on biscuits, turkey sliders, buffalo chicken ranch pizza, four cheese macaroni, vegetarian hashbrown casserole, grilled asparagus, and roasted brussels sprouts. For dessert, the couple opted for our Jeni's ice cream station instead of a traditional cake.

It was a beautiful evening surrounded by family and friends.

Tammy and Jeff's enchanting garden style wedding at The Bridge Building was inspired by an original love song. Tammy, a songwriter, wrote Jeff a song titled, "Lucky Me." The pair chose to incorporate this phrase throughout their wedding day.

Also inspired by the illustrious wedding featured in the hit Blockbuster film, Twilight, the couple utilized a subdued romantic color palette of pale green, ivory and gold. Alex King of Front Porch Farms and AK Events & Design brought their vision to life with enchanting white florals and mixed greenery. While Music City Tents & Events provided white wash farm tables and chairs, making the space feel fresh and natural.

Following an idyllic rooftop ceremony, guests made their way downstairs for the reception. A custom seating chart by White Ink Calligraphy incorporating records and guitar picks was a fun twist on the traditional escort card. Chocolate guitars by Nashville Chocolate & Nut Company sat at each place setting alongside a CD takeaway of "Lucky Me."  We love using these kinds of unique details to bring out the fun personalities of our couples.

After dinner, guests returned to the 4th floor for dancing and mingling. We transformed the space into a cozy oasis with white soft seating and fireplaces to ensure guests felt right at home. With a custom GOBO reading "Lucky Me" beautifully illuminating The Pedestrian Bridge, guests enjoyed the expansive evening views of the city and celebrated into the night with Tammy and Jeff.

We helped Ashley and Evan tie the knot at the gorgeous Church of the Assumption, and ended with a fun and elegant wedding reception at The Bridge Building. We love planning off-site as well!

Following the ceremony, guests were directed to the riverfront of The Bridge Building for cocktail hour. DJ AyDamn played some light tunes as the sun was just beginning to set behind the skyline. We couldn't have asked for better weather! Guests enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres and wine at the open bar decorated with comfortable lounge furniture.

After their arrival, Ashley and Evan had a receiving line to thank each and every guest for attending their special day. Food stations were scattered throughout, and the cake was placed in the center, creating a magnificent focal point for the room. Can we talk about how gorgeous it was?! Thanks, Dulce!

Following dinner, the formal dances, and the cake cutting, guests made their way up to the rooftop patio to get the dance party started! Thanks to DJ AyDamn, not a soul left the dance floor for the rest of the night, unless it was to get a slice of the Groom's cake!

Ashley and Evan were sent off by a crowd of sparklers as they hopped into a vintage car provided by Matchless Transportation, with champagne & chocolate covered strawberries. It was the perfect ending to a fabulous night with such a fun group of people!

Alina, a Radio City Christmas Spectacular Rockette, and her husband to be, Geoff Silver, set out to have a silver destination wedding in Nashville. And that they did.

Their wedding weekend began with a rehearsal dinner at The Bell Tower, where Alina surprised her groom with a tap dance routine. What else would you expect from a rockette?

For the ceremony and reception, The Bridge Building Event Spaces was decked out in silver head-to-toe. From silver sequined linens to crystal curtains to the "glitter girls" who walked down the aisle with a sparkling banner, it was all in the details.

The newlyweds were even sent off with biodegradable, silver ecofetti.

As seen on Modern Jewish Wedding, Bitchless Bride and The Big Fat Jewish Wedding, this silver destination wedding was a blast! And the bride's silver, beaded gown was to die for.
