The Bell Tower provided the perfect setting for Kristen and Guido’s romantic, flower-filled wedding reception. Decorated with delicate gold details, lush floral arrangements in hues of white and pink with verdant greenery, the soft glow of candles, and white draping from the beams, their celebration exuded elegance.

But before we dive into the splendor of their reception, let’s rewind to where it all began – the love story of Kristen and Guido. Childhood sweethearts, their bond stood the test of time and distance, only to be rekindled later in life.

Guido whisked Kristen away to his native country, Italy, where amid the breathtaking beauty of Lake Como, he asked her to be his forever with the help of his parents.

Fast forward to their wedding day, where the Bell Tower served as a symbol of their enduring love and the beginning of their new chapter together.

As guests entered the main space, they were greeted by cascading white drapery with a grand chandelier at the center, and rose-filled floral arrangements with the delicate scent of pink and white blooms mingling with the warm glow of candles.

During cocktail hour, guests sipped on signature cocktails— an Oaxaca Old Fashioned and Raspberry Moscow Mules —while eating an array of hors d’oeuvres made by the in-house culinary team. Selections included candied bacon, Key West crab cakes, and classic tomato bruschetta.

They then found their seats at tables set with elegant gold accents and a mix of smaller floral arrangements in bud vases, with textured pink napkins and custom menu cards at each place setting. They dined on a balsamic caprese salad and their choice of filet mignon, rigatoni primavera, or pan seared dayboat fish.

Amid laughter and heartfelt toasts, Kristen and Guido danced the night away, their love shining brighter than ever. Surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated not only their union but also the journey that brought them to this moment of joy and happiness.

As the evening drew to a close, the newlyweds left the Bell Tower hand in hand, ready to embark on the adventure of marriage together.

May Kristen and Guido’s love continue to bloom and flourish and their journey together be filled with countless moments of joy, laughter, and unwavering love!

The Estate at Cherokee Dock was the perfect spot for a beautiful union of love and cultural fusion for Megan and Jorge last September for their modern Mexican wedding.

Megan and Jorge went to the same high school together but didn’t know each other until a few mutual friends introduced them years later. Little did they know that six years and one romantic lodge proposal later, they would walk this aisle together as husband and wife!

They exchanged vows in front of the Estate with the serene lakeside views in the background and the willow oak canopy to their side. Wood crossback chairs sat in the lawn alongside the main drive making the perfect runway to the altar for Megan, escorted by her mom.

Following the ceremony, Jorge’s cultural heritage was intricately woven in with mariachi melodies leading guests to a cocktail hour on the Lakeview Event Center patio, which was dressed with fairy lights. Here, modern flair met traditional Mexican charm as fun velvet lounge seating arrangements invited guests to relax and mingle with a glass of their signature passion fruit margarita. Vibrant colors of pink, orange, and more were incorporated into the decor, adding pops of color against the elegant backdrop of the estate.

Megan and Jorge also set up an area for photos with a pink velvet couch underneath a wooden arch adorned with vibrant floral arrangements by LMA Designs. It was finished with a chili pepper garland and custom neon sign that said, “Te amo.”

As the sun began to set, guests transitioned into the event center for the reception. The ambiance was one of refined elegance. Champagne-colored satin linens adorned the tables, creating a luxurious setting, and white floral centerpieces exuded sophistication while paying homage to Megan’s classic taste. Each table was set with a papel picado-inspired table number and custom white maracas for every guest.

During the reception, guests savored a plated dinner experience that combined gourmet delights of smoked brisket with grilled corn and a black eye pea salad, maple mustard glazed chicken with brown sugar carrots and roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and a rigatoni primavera.

As the night came to a close, Megan and Jorge danced to “Ride With Me,” by Cody Johnson under the shimmering installation of disco balls and chandeliers for the first time as newlyweds.

Their wedding at Cherokee Dock was not only a testament to their love but also a beautiful blend of cultures, creating memories to cherish for a lifetime.

The Top Wedding Trends of 2024 https://infinityhospitalitygroup.com/2024-wedding-trends/ Tue, 30 Jan 2024 20:05:16 +0000 https://infinityhospitalitygroup.com/?p=36070 From unconventional venues to rich color palettes, here's a look at 2024 wedding trends.

It’s Giving Wedding Era

OUR PREDICTED WEDDING TRENDS FOR 2024

As we step into a new era, the world of weddings is set to undergo a transformation in 2024! Are you ready for it?

Couples are looking for ways to express their unique love story and individuality, which has given rise to a variety of exciting trends that promise to redefine the wedding experience. In 2024, that experience will be more about the feeling your wedding day encompasses instead of just impressing your guests with a “wow factor.”

From unconventional venues to timeless choices, here’s a glimpse into the wedding trends that are expected to shape the matrimonial landscape of 2024. Read on!

Unconventional Venues

The traditional wedding venue is evolving as couples seek out unique and unconventional spaces for their celebrations. From industrial warehouses and art galleries, to libraries or museums and private estates, expect to see couples choosing venues that reflect their personalities and interests. Non-traditional spaces provide a unique layout and design for couples to bring the overall ambiance of their wedding vision boards to life.

However, securing such venues may not always be feasible. Fear not! You can infuse any venue with the ambiance you’re looking for by paying attention to the details. For example if you had your heart set on a place rich with history, consider incorporating vintage decor elements, such as antique furniture, candlesticks, and aged frames. With a thoughtful touch and creative flair, any venue can be transformed into a timelessly romantic space that reflects the couple’s unique love story.

Take Christine and Eric’s late summer wedding at the Estate at Cherokee Dock for example. They transformed the modern style of the event center into an organic lounge space for their guests!

Eco-Friendly Elegance

Sustainability continues to be a driving force in wedding planning – and we’re here for it! In 2024, couples are expected to make environmentally conscious choices in every aspect of their celebration. How? We’ll tell you!

This can include opting for sustainable materials when selecting invitations, place cards, and other stationery. Consider digital invitations or recycled paper options to minimize waste. Go green with your floral arrangements by selecting locally sourced and in-season blooms. Include plant-based options on the menu to further reduce your wedding’s ecological footprint. And more couples are also giving guests plants as favors, setting each place at the table with a miniature potted flower or succulent.

By making mindful choices throughout the planning process, couples can create a wedding that not only celebrates their love but also respects the planet! Best of both worlds.

Micro-Weddings with Macro-Experiences

Intimate celebrations are here to stay, but couples are taking it a step further by curating unforgettable experiences for their guests. Quality over quantity is the mantra! As couples embrace the charm of intimacy by creating settings that foster connection and warmth, you can expect carefully crafted details, personalized touches, and unique experiences that leave a lasting impression.

A popular trend in this direction is the shift toward family-style dinner tables, where loved ones gather around a shared feast, fostering a sense of togetherness and warmth. This communal dining experience not only encourages conversation but also adds a touch of nostalgia, reminiscent of familial gatherings.

Rich Color Palettes

In a departure from traditional pastel and muted tones, contemporary couples are making a bold statement with rich and vibrant color palettes for their weddings! Embracing deep jewel tones like emerald green, sapphire blue, and ruby red, couples are introducing a sense of drama and personality into their celebrations. These bold choices extend beyond attire to include decor, floral arrangements, and even stationery. Think lush burgundy blooms, opulent table linens, and eye-catching bridesmaid dresses that add a dynamic and visually striking element to the wedding day.

This trend allows couples to infuse their wedding design with a unique and memorable flair, showcasing their distinctive style and breaking away from the typical black and white palette without losing the class. Whether it’s an elegant and moody affair or a lively and energetic celebration, the use of bold and rich colors is transforming weddings into visually stunning celebrations that leave a lasting impression on both the couple and their guests.

Old Money Aesthetic

For couples yearning to evoke the timeless allure of Hollywood glamor and regal sophistication on their wedding day, embracing the “old money” aesthetic is the key to creating that atmosphere. But don’t worry, you can still achieve this look with a reasonable budget!

Begin by setting the stage with moody candle lighting that casts a warm glow with soft flickering flames, creating an ambiance that is utterly romantic. Couples are opting for candlelit ceremonies, receptions, and even outdoor spaces, allowing the soft light to create an intimate atmosphere. And elevate the ambiance even more by incorporating candelabras, adding a touch of grandeur and opulence. Bows, whether adorning chairs, invitations, candles, cocktail glasses or even the bridal attire, exude a sense of refined elegance. Consider ornate details in table settings, such as vintage china and silverware to transport guests to a bygone era of sophistication. *chef’s kiss*

This careful curation of elements results in a wedding that not only captures the essence of old money aesthetics but also transports everyone into a world of timeless romance and cinematic allure!

Interactive Entertainment

We know we said we’re stepping away from the typical “wow factor” of the wedding day to catch the eyes of your loved ones, but genuine guest engagement will continue to take center stage in 2024 weddings.

So gone are the days of passive observation; instead, couples are opting for immersive activities that transform their celebration into a participatory event. From photo booths to personalized DIY stations, like a cocktail mixing bar, or a custom perfume-making corner, interactive experiences add a layer of fun and personalization to the festivities. Couples can also consider live entertainment, such as bands, interactive games, dance lessons, or even a collaborative art project, encouraging guests to mingle and bond over these shared experiences!

These engaging elements not only break the ice but also contribute to a memorable celebration, ensuring that everyone leaves with not just the memory of a beautiful wedding but also a shared experience that enhances the true connection of your special day.

Captured Moments

And last but not least, wedding photography will continue to undergo a captivating transformation as couples increasingly gravitate towards wanting the genuine and spontaneous moments that define their special day.

Departing from the traditional emphasis on posed portraits, couples now look to celebrate the authentic emotions, laughter, and candid interactions that unfold naturally. This shift toward candid photography reflects a desire to not just remember the visual aesthetics of the day but to truly encapsulate the emotions and ambiance that make it uniquely theirs. The desired result is a collection of images that not only tells the story of the wedding day but also summarizes the genuine essence of the couple’s journey together, allowing them to relive the emotions and atmosphere of their celebration for years to come.

As we anticipate the unfolding of these trends, one thing is for certain – the weddings of 2024 are set to be a celebration of love, individuality, and unforgettable experiences.

The Bell Tower became the enchanting backdrop for Carley and Turner’s September wedding day. Combining timeless elegance with a few modern trends, their wedding was a stunning blend of bold and bright florals and classic black-and-white decor.

The couple told us they “immediately fell in love with The Bell Tower when we first visited the venue. It was exactly what we had imagined and we loved that it can accommodate a large group while still feeling very intimate.”

These Nashville natives have known each other since they were kids. Carley and Turner started dating their sophomore year at the University of Tennessee where they continued to run in the same circles. Turner proposed at the Richland Country Club, where they later ended up having their rehearsal dinner!

Carley and Turner’s vision for their wedding decor was a seamless fusion of classic and contemporary elements. The venue was adorned with striking black and white decor, creating a sophisticated and timeless ambiance. The florals added a burst of vibrant colors to the scene. Bold bouquets of roses, peonies, and dahlias in shades of red, pink, and orange brought warmth and energy to the venue.

Carley stunned in a strapless gown from Adorn Nashville with trendy full sleeve lace gloves, while her best gals dressed to impress in mismatched black bridesmaid dresses. Turner looked classically dapper in a black tuxedo from Street Tuxedo Nashville with groomsmen to match.

The couple exchanged vows before a beautifully adorned floral installation, soft white draping, and classic crystal chandeliers hanging above.

After saying their “I dos,” Carley said one her favorite moments of the day was walking down the mezzanine staircase into their reception as a newly-married couple. Black and white linens adorned each table, providing a chic and sophisticated backdrop for the vibrant floral centerpieces. The dance floor was alive with energy as friends and family joined the newlyweds in celebrating their love. Good food, music, and being with all those they love was the focal point of importance to this couple when it came to planning their day— and we have to say they achieved just that!

As the couple danced the night away, surrounded by the love and joy of their closest friends and family, it was clear that their wedding day was not just an event but a beautiful beginning to a lifetime of happiness together!

Dive into Whitney and Carson’s love story with a winter wedding that seamlessly blends modern trends with timeless charm. It was a stylish black and white affair, complemented by fresh greenery.

Their special day started at The Scarritt Bennett Center, the perfect backdrop for Whitney and Carson to say their “I dos.” The ceremony was full of timeless elegance with historic charm in the Wighman Chapel.

“Walking down the aisle and seeing Carson for the first time that day, and all the people we love in the same room … it was a feeling I could never imagine,” Whitney shared with us.

She stunned in a full lace gown alongside her best gals in matching beige dresses. As for the groom, Carson and his groomsmen rocked the traditional suit and tie look.

After sealing the deal with a kiss, the celebration continued at The Bell Tower in Downtown Nashville. If you’ve never been, picture this: arched windows, historic charm, and wide open spaces. Greenery arrangements sat atop each table and adorned the large chandeliers, giving the main space a forest feel. Tables were dressed in black linens that made the greenery and white floral arrangements pop, with matching black drapery framing the grand windows. It was the perfect blend of modern trends and timeless style.

When guests arrived, they were met with signature cocktails and a large grazing table covered in delicious treats. After guests found their seats, they were served a plated dinner service with selections of bourbon glazed salmon with grilled asparagus and parmesan risotto, maple mustard glazed chicken with brown sugar glazed carrots and roasted garlic mashed potato, and smoked brisket with grilled corn and black eyed pea salad.

The newlyweds opened the dance floor with a first dance to “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “Brown Eyed Girl” before guests joined in the all-night celebration!

Whitney and Carson were later sent off with white and orange pom poms in honor of their alma mater, the University of Tennessee.

A Q&A WITH HALEY SIMPSON

EVENT COORDINATOR WITH IH

Originally from Davenport, Iowa, Haley graduated from Iowa State University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in event management, a history working in the hospitality industry, and a passion for planning.

After graduation, Haley “always knew” she wanted to “venture out of the Midwest.” She decided to start a new chapter in Nashville due to the variety of opportunities in events and, of course, her love of country music. And the weather is definitely a perk!

Before becoming an event coordinator, Haley was an event caption, which she says gave her valuable experience managing both event staff and bartenders to ensure successful events. She’s thrilled for her new position that will allow her to build relationships with clients and bring their visions to life.

“I have always loved being creative and planning get-togethers with friends. I have a passion for creating memorable experiences,” Haley shared.

Outside of work, you’ll find Haley exploring Nashville restaurants, going for long walks with her two pups, and trying new recipes. Her current favorite go-to burger spot in Nashville is Pharmacy Burger! Yum.

How long have you been in the hospitality industry? How long have you been a planner?

I have been in the hospitality industry for six years. I have been a planner for two years.

Where do you draw inspiration from?

I draw a lot of inspiration from Pinterest and other social media platforms. I also love bouncing ideas off of others and taking inspiration from those conversations.

How do you stay on top of everything? Any organizational tips or tricks?

To stay organized, I love writing out a to-do list each day. This helps me stay on top of my responsibilities without feeling overwhelmed. I always have a pen and sticky note nearby to write things down.

What themes or unique details have been your favorite from one of your events?

My favorite theme that I have done is “Life is A Highway” for a corporate trade show where we incorporated vintage decor, cars on display, checkered flags, and even had Gary Levox perform. As far as wedding details, I have two pups of my own so I love when clients want to incorporate their pets into their special day.

If you could give one piece of advice to couples planning a wedding, what would it be?

My piece of advice for couples is to take the time to enjoy the whole process. It is such an exciting time in life and can be easy to lose sight of the meaning behind all of the planning.

What are some of the challenges you face when planning an event and how do you overcome them?

Some challenges that I face when planning events are adapting quickly to potential issues. As a planner, you think you have every detail thought through; however, unpredictable issues can arise that may alter the plan. To overcome these obstacles, I take a step back and prioritize what would make the experience best for the client.

What is one of your favorite memories from one of your events?

My favorite memory from one of my events is receiving the biggest hug from a client and being told how great of an experience they had with us. I truly want each client to feel like their day was absolutely perfect.

What’s your favorite part about your job and why?

My favorite part of my job is seeing all of the planning and design come to fruition and clients having a wonderful time surrounded by friends and loved ones. I love the diversity of planning weddings and corporate events.

Deysi and Michael celebrated their love with an enchanting garden wedding at the Estate at Cherokee Dock. With its picturesque landscapes, grand mansion, and lush gardens, the Estate provided the perfect backdrop for their magical day.

Deysi, originally from Brazil, and Michael, from New Jersey, first met at work when Deysi moved to New Jersey. Starting off as just friends, Michael showed Deysi the ropes when she made the big move. Their love grew slowly but surely, and after another move to Nashville, these two were ready to tie the knot.

With most of their guests coming from out of town, and many from Brazil, they wanted to make sure it was a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. It was important that the food, drinks, and atmosphere were top tier— and with us, that’s a promise! The Estate was the perfect backdrop for their guests to celebrate with its breathtaking views of Old Hickory Lake and sprawling lawns. A truly memorable and magical experience.

Deysi and Michael got ready with their own wedding parties in the mansion’s luxury bridal suite and nearby Stable Loft  before walking the aisle to say “I do” on the Lakeside Lawn. The lakeside ceremony was set with arrangements of vibrant blooms and lush greenery at the altar with a flower petal aisle.

Afterwards, guests sipped on glasses of frozé with a selection of passed apps during the outdoor cocktail hour in the Serenity Gardens, including Bloody Mary oysters, hot chicken biscuits, ahi tuna in a crispy wonton, arancini, polenta cakes with goat cheese, and Key West crab cakes. Lounge areas were also set to create a comfortable environment for guests to mingle with string lights for a fairytale ambiance.

For their reception inside the Lakeview Event Center, Deysi and Michael blew their guests away with the most stunning and enchanting indoor garden design. The room was draped in forest green velvet with strings of fairy lights across the whole ceiling, while tables were set with soft white linens and acrylic ghost chairs. Centerpieces included antique candelabras wrapped in greenery and full-size faux trees with floating glass bulbs, individually hung white flowers, tea lights, and touches of moss. It was like a fairy tale brought to life!

For dinner, we helped Deysi and Michael curate a culinary experience that embraced Nashville’s renowned food scene. The menu featured a fusion of Southern flavors and personal favorites with a selection of four entrees—lemon almondine trout, grilled lamb chop with a tomato demi-glace, chicken cordon bleu, and rigatoni primavera.

During the reception, live musicians played celebratory tunes to kick off the dance floor  and encourage loved ones to join the couple in the fun. And after a late night dessert display of French toast bread pudding, mini cheesecake bites, cake cutting, and more, Deysi and Michael ended their night with a jump in the pool!

How to Have an Eras-Inspired Wedding: Folklore Edition https://infinityhospitalitygroup.com/how-to-have-an-eras-inspired-wedding-folklore-edition/ Fri, 13 Oct 2023 22:40:51 +0000 https://infinityhospitalitygroup.com/?p=34736 Calling all Taylor Swift stans, here’s our take on how to have a Folklore Era-inspired wedding.

MY HOUSE OF STONE, YOUR IVY GROWS

How to Have a Folklore-Inspired Wedding

Planning a wedding inspired by one of Taylor Swift’s eras is a unique and fun way to celebrate your love for her music and style. Ethereal and whimsical, Taylor’s Folklore and Evermore era is characterized by earth tones, cottagecore style, and woodland fairy vibes. Drawing inspiration from the dreamy woodland aesthetic, poetic storytelling, and stripped-down melodies of Folklore, you can create an unforgettable wedding that exudes intimacy and romance. For all the Folklore stans, here’s our take on how to have a Folklore-inspired wedding.

1. STYLE

The Folklore era is all about embracing simplicity and natural beauty. Opt for a wedding gown that exudes a bohemian and romantic vibe, perhaps featuring delicate lace or flowing chiffon. For the groom, consider a more relaxed and laid-back outfit, like a tailored tweed suit paired with a casual tie or bowtie. Accessorize with woodland-inspired touches, such as flower crowns, leaf motifs, or ethereal headpieces. For the outerwear, we suggest a cardigan of course! Wear your Folklore cardigan or have fun and personalize your own with custom patches. Here are some of our top picks.

2. DECOR

Embrace whimsical decor that complements the Folklore and Evermore eras. Incorporate elements like fairy lights, soft draping, and vintage furniture to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Use natural elements like wildflowers, ferns, and moss to bring the outdoor feel indoors, and don’t forget to add touches of muted earthy tones and soft neutrals in your decor.

For day-of signage, use antique frames and mirrors with hand-lettered messages guiding your guests through the celebration. Incorporate quotes from Taylor Swift’s songs to set the tone and infuse your wedding with a poetic touch. Mirror balls can be incorporated on the dance floor or used as a focal point during the ceremony.

Photography by Whitney Cadavid and Haley Birdsey

3. MUSIC

Incorporate acoustic versions of her songs or live performances for an intimate and emotional ambiance. If possible, hire a folk band or acoustic musicians to play during your ceremony or reception to add an extra layer of authenticity. For ideas, check out our Eras-Inspired Wedding playlist on Spotify.

4. WEDDING FAVORS

Thank your guests with personalized wedding favors inspired by Folklore. Offer small potted plants, seeds, or wildflower kits, symbolizing the growth and blooming of your love. Include a handwritten note expressing your gratitude for being a part of your love story.

A Taylor Swift Folklore era-inspired wedding is more than just a celebration – it’s a story. Infuse the spirit of Folklore into every aspect – from the style and ceremony to the reception and music. Not in your Folklore era? Check out our blog on how to have a Lover-inspired wedding.

A Q&A WITH RILEY SHANNON

EVENT DESIGNER WITH IH

Riley was born and raised in San Luis Obispo, California, and attended college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree with a concentration in event planning and communications. She began her career as an event planner right out of college and has been working in the hospitality industry for 5 years!

Wanting to continue her event planning career in a new place with a thriving industry, she eventually moved to the Music City. “I had always loved visiting Nashville, so I made the jump and moved! I didn’t know anyone here when I moved, and have made the greatest community of friends,” Riley explained.

Growing up, Riley’s parents were fabulous entertainers, so she discovered her love for event planning very early on! She helped her parents host countless celebrations at her dad’s winery and inherited her design skills from her mother. Watching her mom is where she first saw the thrill and beauty involved in event planning.

Outside of work, you can find Riley enjoying some fresh air and walking the trails around Nashville, traveling to new places, at Disneyland, or trying all the new restaurants the city has to offer! Her current favorites are dining at The Optimist and exploring 12South.

Where do you draw inspiration from?

I draw inspiration from a lot of different places! A lot of my events are inspired by seasons and themes. I also love to take inspiration from travel photos in coffee table books or magazines. I try not to follow trends but instead create them.

How do you stay on top of everything? Any organizational tips or tricks?

Every morning I have the same routine. I sit down and write my list of priorities for the day, and then write them out for my team as well according to their clients. It’s helpful to compartmentalize everyone’s tasks and be clear about what needs to get done.

In regard to weddings, I look at the event day from start to finish and work that way— start with the ceremony, work into cocktail hour, etc. I try to stay in chronological order as opposed to jumping around. This helps things to not fall through the cracks.

What themes or unique details have been your favorite from one of your events?

We incorporated a custom denim jacket bar from Levi’s for our guests; it was a huge hit! I also loved planning a corporate event with the theme “Life is a Highway.” We brought in a race car, stoplights, and race track lighting. It was such a fun opportunity to be creative and bring in so many unexpected elements to out-of-town guests.

If you could give one piece of advice to couples planning a wedding, what would it be?

Trust your planner and enjoy the process. Planners have your best interest in mind and will use their expertise to give you the day of your dreams. And make it personal to you and your fiancé! Incorporate elements that represent you as a couple that people can talk about.

What are some of the challenges you face when planning an event and how do you overcome them?

Budgets are the biggest challenge I face when planning an event; it encourages me to be creative and provide the client with their desired design within their budget comfort zone. I work on repurposing items for dual use to cut costs, as well as prioritizing certain elements for wow factor, and being conservative in other areas.

What is one of your favorite memories from one of your events?

I threw a corporate holiday party last year. We organized a charity drive and each guest came with gifts to donate to the local children’s hospital. It was the most heartwarming, rewarding feature of any event I have put on.

What’s your favorite part about your job and why?

Creating relationships with clients from all over the country and helping them create a memorable experience that they will talk about for years to come. It’s a privilege to be an integral part of someone’s event and show them how much I care through the success of their day.
