Mackenzie and Jack celebrated their love with a modern summer wedding full of tropical leaves, disco balls, pops of navy blue, and fun times!

These two met at a local Nashville spot, Yeehaw Brewing, during an outing with friends in January 2020. They started talking about their favorite drinks, sports, and more until it was closing time.

After almost a year of long distance, Jack knew he had to make things official with a planned beach proposal in August 2021. Although the weather had other plans, there was a break in the storm and Jack got down on one knee with family there to capture the moment.

When it came to planning the big day, it was important to these two that the day was fun for all! And we think it was just that.

Their summer wedding day started with a traditional ceremony at The Cathedral of the Incarnation followed by a reception at The Cordelle closer to downtown Nashville.

Mackenzie was dressed in a sleek modern dress with a tight low bun and held a bouquet of all white florals. Her best gals were dressed in matching ankle-length satin dresses in ivory and held smaller bouquets with similar florals. Jack, being a military platoon leader, was dressed in his traditional uniform.

After the “I dos,” guests made their way into the backyard of the Cordelle for a quick cocktail hour of signature Moscow mules and passed apps, including mini shrimp tacos, mozzarella skewers, and bacon-wrapped jalapeños.

Once the wedding party was introduced, everyone found their seats to enjoy a stationed dinner with a variety of hot chicken and waffles, sliders, and mac and cheese.

Mackenzie and Jack’s reception dinner was held in the garden space behind the Cordelle. The tables were set with ivory linens and deep blue napkins, tall centerpieces of tropical palm leaves, paper fans as place cards, and black pillar candles.

To end the night, Mackenzie and Jack found themselves dancing with all of their loved ones in the main space of the Cordelle, which was decorated with a large stage with a white facade and greenery wall backdrop underneath individually hung disco balls adorned in tropical palm leaves!

Mackenzie and Jack had all wedding traditions, including a first dance to “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green. “We wanted a classic love song that was a little more upbeat and fun to dance to!” Mackenzie explained. “We were looking for a song we would want to dance to in our kitchen for the rest of our lives, and this song fit that mold for us!”

Kate and Tanner tied the knot at the Cordelle with a modern fall wedding full of rust colors, simplistic design, and all the love.

This sweet pair met the modern way, through an app called Bumble, and the rest was history! Later on, Tanner privately proposed with three dozen roses and tea lights at home on their annual Christmas date. Tanner even had a specialty ring created from Kate’s family jewels, and we couldn't think of anything more special!

It was important to these two that their guests had good food and a blast celebrating their marriage since most of the family would be traveling from out of town.

Opting out of a first look, they first locked eyes as Kate walked down the aisle to her now husband, Tanner, who was standing in front of a floral arch of ivory blooms and greenery. She was dressed in a fitted gown with dainty buttons along the back, while Tanner rocked a deep blue tux and black bowtie for his fall wedding style.

After the vows, guests made their way inside to enjoy some delectable apps prepared by Dream Events and Catering, including mini BLT bites, crab cakes, goat cheese tartlets, and flank steak skewers, before a buffet dinner.

The reception space was set with a mix of ivory linens and wood farm tables, Edison bulb lighting, silky rust orange napkins, and touches of gold. Above the dance floor hung a custom creation of a greenery ring by LMA Designs and Nashville Lighting and Production

Before the night came to a close with a slice of cake, Kate and Tanner shared a first dance to “Quite Like You.”

HOWDY

OUR GUIDE TO A NASHVILLE WEDDING

If you are planning a destination wedding in Nashville or have recently been invited to a wedding in Music City, buckle up!

We've carefully curated the perfect guide, from where to eat and where to wed, and we promise you'll want to write this down. Although Nashville is known for its live music and honky tonk nature, there is so much more to this Tennessee city.

So get out your planner and keep scrolling! For more ideas & advice, stay tuned each month to see what’s next.

1. WHERE TO STAY

No matter your destination, finding the perfect place to stay should be at the top of your agenda. And lucky for you, we know some good spots!

If you wish to stay in a downtown location with historic attraction, consider The Hermitage Hotel or The Union Station. These top notch spots are architectural landmarks with breathtaking designs, both inside and out.

However, if you prefer a more modern style with sophisticated design, still located downtown, then we absolutely recommend Noelle or the Omni. Noelle is located in front of the famed Printers Alley and has a secret hidden bar in the basement with seasonal themes.

The Omni is attached to the Country Music Hall of Fame with a rooftop pool, steakhouse, and bar with live music inside— and it’s located just feet away from The Bell Tower, one of our wedding venues!

And if downtown isn’t your vibe but a unique experience is, then The Graduate is calling your name. Filled with so much color and character you won’t believe your eyes. It has an on-site coffee shop, Cross-Eyed Critters karaoke bar, and Dolly Parton’s White Limozeen rooftop bar.

Tricia at Union Station
Lizzy and Clayton at The Hermitage

2. WHERE TO DINE

We understand it might be a challenge to hit all of these must-go restaurants, but you’ll want to do your best. Trust us!

You can’t come to Nashville without trying Prince's Hot Chicken Shack or a taco from Mas Tacos Por Favor, and you definitely need to grab a monkey mocha coffee from Frothy Monkey with a 100-layer donut from Five Daughters Bakery or an old fashioned pastry from Fox's Donut Den.

Not to be dramatic, but it would be a crime to miss out.

And when you’re ready to dine on some Southern comforts, make a pitstop at Martin’s BBQ, Arnold’s Country Kitchen, or the famous Loveless Cafe with biscuits to die for.

If you’re looking for an upscale dining experience, we recommend checking out Merchants on Broadway, Virago for a top-notch sushi experience, the one and only Urban Grub in 12South, or Pinewood Social for upscale bowling and cocktails.

3. WHAT TO DO

It would be a shame if you came all the way to Nashville and didn’t make an appearance on Broadway! So while you’re there, make sure to stop into Nudie's Honky Tonk, Robert’s Western World, and the newly-finished Fifth + Broadway, which is full of shops and a massive food hall with tons of local eats.

And if the live music on Broadway has inspired your vocal chords, you’ll want to try out some of the best holein-the-wall karaoke bars, such as Ms. Kelli’s, Santa’s Pub, and Lipstick Lounge. Or buy a ticket to the Listening Room Cafe to hear up-and-coming singers and songwriters in a more laid-back environment.

Once you have that covered, learn about our famed music history at the Country Music Hall of Fame or the Grand Ole Opry, and take a tour to see all of the spectacular murals for photo ops across the city. And while you’re exploring, try some of our best Tennessee brews at Bearded Iris, Jackalope, or Tennessee Brew Works.

If you get really lucky, there might even be a Predators game, a concert at the Ascend Amphitheater, or your favorite comedian might be at Zanies Comedy Club. All of these places are in central locations with tons to do nearby.

4. WHAT TO GIVE

We know party favors are making a slow exit in modern wedding trends, but here are a few ideas that you might want to hold onto!

The number one favor to greet your guests with for a destination wedding is, of course, a guide or map to where they will be spending their time with a list of recommended local restaurants or attractions. It will help them get around and easily find things to do outside of your wedding activities!

Now if you expect your wedding party or guests will be spending most of their time celebrating on Broadway, then there’s truly no better gift to give than a recovery kit. Include things like Advil, water, electrolytes, local snacks, and even fruit for an extra vitamin boost.

And if you don’t have time to create special favors, consider using locally-sourced gift boxes created by Batch Nashville. Their pre-made gift sets feature local favorites like Thistle Farms lotion, Loveless Cafe’s biscuit mix, or Daily Crunch’s amazing flavored almonds.

5. WHERE TO WED

We might be biased, but you can’t beat a Nashville wedding at one of these venues!

Both The Bell Tower and The Bridge Building are located in prime areas of downtown Nashville. The Bell Tower, once a historic church dating back to the 1870s, has been transformed into a modern, spacious event venue. Abundant natural light, exposed beams, and an upper level mezzanine make this one of the most sought after venues in all of Nashville.

And located on the riverfront, The Bridge Building is a historic downtown landmark and the top event venue in Nashville for any special occasion with many customizable areas, riverfront and rooftop patios, and an exceptional view of the city. Seriously, the view is unreal!

The Estate at Cherokee Dock is an award-winning estate just outside of Nashville with ample lush green landscapes on 15 acres of land. With various entertaining spaces, both inside and out, you can turn your vision of a perfect wedding into a reality.

The Cordelle offers historic charm and the largest downtown Nashville greenspace. Located just outside of downtown Nashville, the late Victorian home features both indoor and outdoor event space with thousands of square feet to make your own.

The Tennessee State Museum is a modern awe-inspiring venue with a spacious Grand Hall, second floor rotunda, and wrap-around veranda— all offer stunning views of downtown Nashville. Conveniently located, the Museum connects North Nashville, Germantown, and downtown, and it is easily accessible to downtown lodging and Interstate 65.

Originally built in the early 1900s, Marathon Music Works has been restored and adapted as an ideal blank space for your custom event. The versatile, open floor design is accented with exposed brick walls, a lofty steel beam ceiling, polished concrete bars, and metal chandeliers your guests will love.

Molly and Sean celebrated their marriage with a rustic spring wedding in a historic industrial venue near downtown Nashville.

Originally from Chicago, Molly and Sean moved to Nashville almost three years ago, and we couldn’t imagine a better way to show off their new city than with a wedding at ONE Cannery Row!

They wanted a simple and stress-free planning process (our specialty!), so they started their day with a sweet first look and wedding party pictures outside of The Bridge Building.

For the ceremony, Quest Events, Nashville Lighting & Production, and Forget Me Not Designs all worked their magic to set the tone with white draping, string lights, and elegant florals that brought a welcoming warmth to the space.

Molly’s cousin officiated their ceremony, and after the vows, guests snacked on a few appetizers and a drink or two while the ceremony space was being transformed for their reception. Molly loves a refined and simple look, so their beautiful reception featured white florals, white linens, and bountiful greenery centerpieces.

Once guests found their seats, they enjoyed a delicious meal from Dream Events & Catering. Selections consisted of a beef filet, honey balsamic chicken, and bourbon-glazed salmon. All options were served with white cheddar whipped potatoes and Tuscan vegetable medley. Yum!

Molly and Sean kicked off the party with their first dance to “Forever to Go” by Chase Rice. And before the night was officially over, the newlyweds ordered a late-night bite from Chick-fil-A. So fun!

The post MEGAN + SCOTT’S SENTIMENTAL MICRO WEDDING appeared first on Infinity Hospitality.

Today we're looking back on Megan and Scott's intimate July wedding. Their sentimental micro wedding at The Cannery Ballroom wasn’t what they originally planned, but according to Megan, “It was awesome. Every single thing about it was amazing.”

Before they started dating, Megan had been a bridesmaid 14 times, and Scott a groomsman 16 times, so they were pretty much wedding professionals. In a meet-cute worthy of a rom-com, they caught each other’s attention when they were in the same wedding in San Antonio, Texas. During the reception, they were standing at the bar and ordered the same drink, a classic bourbon. They struck up a conversation and found instant chemistry!

After a couple years of long-distance dating, Scott and Megan decided to tie the knot. Nashville was special since it was Scott’s former home, and their shared love of music made it easy for them to pick Cannery Ballroom as their venue.

“We toured other wedding venues, but when we toured Cannery, it just sort of felt good in our souls. It was the right call. We are so happy we picked that venue,” Megan said.

When the big day arrived, the spacious venue was absolutely filled with greenery. It adorned chandeliers, lined the candlelit aisle, and draped the top of their simple wood altar. But what was most important to Megan and Scott was making sure their guests felt safe and comfortable throughout the celebration. They even had monogrammed masks to hand out as a pre-wedding party favor!

They wanted to save their first look for the ceremony, so before the day kicked off, they opted for a back-to-back first toast (with bourbon, of course!) where they had a few moments alone to talk and pray together.

After they said “I do,” the chairs were immediately cleared and their closest friends started playing one of their favorite songs for a fun hybrid processional and first dance.

The reception was held nearby at the Country Music Hall of Fame where Megan and Scott were greeted with sweet virtual messages from all of the guests that couldn’t attend in-person. “Though different from what we planned, it was really, really cool,” the couple said.

Just as the newlyweds were leaving for the night, they saw a group of bachelorettes outside. Megan ran up to them and tossed her bouquet to the bride-to-be, which made for a perfect end to an incredible day!

Stephanie and Ben's moody southern wedding at The Quarter was beautifully intimate with natural elements and a classic color palette.

This pair met while stationed overseas at one of their favorite spots, the gym, and almost immediately hit it off.

After a quick trip home from deployment, Stephanie dropped Ben off at the airport. As she was walking away he said, "this is stupid, we should get married," immediately Stephanie replied, "yes!"

Finding the perfect venue for their moody wedding vibe was easy when it came to The Quarter! "It was a quaint size in a great location, and it was so beautiful. We fell in love with the brick walls and the windows overlooking the river," Stephanie told us.

They kicked off their day with an emotional first look that had us all reaching for a tissue, followed by a dreamy ceremony with candle light.

Once guests enjoyed a sip or two during cocktail hour, they found their seats to dine on savory selections from our friends at Dream Events & Catering.

For their first dance, Stephanie and Ben chose "On My Way to You" by Cody Johnson. "For the last two years Ben has been gone due to military deployments and an unaccompanied overseas tour," Stephanie told us. "Whenever he comes back it’s a tradition for him to say 'I’m on my way to you.'" Anyone else having bad allergies?

Looking back, Stephanie and Ben found "how beautiful everything looked and the location," to be what made their special day so memorable. Not to mention how many times their guests told them how fun their wedding was!

Rustic cross back chairs from Mayker Events, subtle textured linens from BBJ Linen, and string lights from Nashville Lighting & Production helped set the scene for this chic dinner, while towering candles and sweet sprigs of greenery by LMA Designs were placed on each table for added style.

As guests arrived for cocktail hour, they snacked on dreamy hors d'oeuvres from Dream Events & Catering. These included mac n' cheese bites, shrimp n' grits bites, caprese skewers, and more.

Guests were then treated to a plated dinner with selections like lemon rosemary chicken and bourbon glazed salmon. Yum! And you can't forget dessert. With confections like mini key lime pies, cheesecake bites, and RC Moon Pie shooters, there was no sweet tooth left unsatisfied.

Sarah and Daniel said, "I do," at OZ Arts Nashville last year, and today we're celebrating their one year anniversary with a look back at their sweet spring wedding.

The evening began with a traditional Jewish ceremony outside just before sunset. A whimsical custom-built chuppah from PS Designs set the scene. While pastel pinks and blue hues screaming spring lead guests to their seats.

Afterward, cocktail hour kicked off on the patio. Light bites included chicken salad phyllo cups, tequila infused watermelon (an Infinity summer favorite), fried green tomatoes, and mini hot chicken and waffles.

Meanwhile, the indoor space was transformed into a luxe, elegant setting for the reception. White floral arrangements with bright pops of fuchsia stood tall in sparkling crystal holders, and paper lanterns were strung from the ceiling for ambiance.

Guests sat down to plated dinner beginning with focaccia and sun-dried tomato butter alongside spinach and strawberry salads. Entrees included honey balsamic chicken with parmesan risotto and rigatoni primavera.

Revisiting this sweet couple's wedding on their anniversary is just as sweet as a slice of wedding cake! Scroll on to see all the adorable details.

We helped Madeline and Andrew celebrate with an intimate southern rehearsal dinner at The Harding House at Belle Meade Plantation before their wedding the next day.

This pair envisioned an intimate but beautiful feel to kick off their wedding weekend. As a result, they chose sweet hues of navy blue and butter yellow to complement our southern space.

We seriously swooned over the stunning arrangements of white hydrangea, anemones and peach garden roses, all done by the bride-to-be herself! How beautifully did they turn out?!

In celebration of Music City, guests helped themselves to a traditional southern buffet, with pear and cranberry salads already waiting at each place setting.

Delectable entree selections included sweet tea marinated chicken and house-smoked brisket with southern style green beans and four cheese macaroni. Sign us up!

And for dessert? The couple's favorite treat of course! Guests made their own ice cream sundaes and sipped hot coffee to end the evening on a sweet note.
